Rocket League! Main Series pkmn game? Metriod!? I want it all! I think Nintendo crushed in their 20 min.

It wouldn't call the announcement of games that might come 2-3 years down the line "crushing it" to be honest
It is however very reassuring for the future of the Switch, it is unlikely to repeat the Wii U scenario now, and it will surely see more 3rd party games.

I truly don't understand people who are saying it was "meh" or just not bad.

Why? Not everybody enjoys the same games, i do not give a rat's ass about anything pokemon for example, xenogears, splatoon and rocket league is something i first played (if not mistaken) on my ps3, only for 5 minutes before i uninstalled it. Genuinely looking forward to Mario and Metroid of course but 2 games out of the bunch does not make it earth shattering for me. Just as people loved the xbox presentation. Was meh for me but it resonates to some people. Then again there are people who love Halo. Opinions man, opinions.

We might not see as much 3rd party games as on PS4/PC/XO by any means on the Switch, but some at least.

This was honestly all more than I had hoped for. Nintendo actually outdid themselves for once.

confirmation of a core Pokemon game on the Switch, Metroid Prime 4, Rocket League on the Switch (one of the few third party titles I really wanted on the system and its actually coming!), new Kirby, even the new Yoshi looked pretty great. Mario Odyssey coming even sooner than I expected, then all the games we already knew about are looking better than ever.

Xenoblade WiiU's English dub wasn't great so there's a chance this could be it.

True. It was good but nothing too impressive, they just released the details and footage.
