Nintendo Power resurrected in form of official podcast

Nintendo Power was an official publication in the US that covered news, tips and everything Nintendo from 1988 to 2012. The final issue was published on December 11, 2012, after Nintendo of America decided not to renew the license agreement with the publishing company at that time.

Now, five years later, Nintendo decided to resurrect Nintendo Power in form of an hour-long podcast. The first episode discusses the development process of Zelda Breath of the Wild and offers a look back at the Switch's first year. The podcast can be found via the podcast app on iOS or Google Play on Android. It's also available directly at soundcloud.

Just what we need in the gaming hell of micro transactions, poor switch games (WWE 2k18, look at the state of it on switch, slo-mo)

    @The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.

    Many TBs of assets and the programming of something like that is going to be tough but I think it's something we might see in 20 years maybe sooner

    @Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
