Hacking Nintendo 3DS XL - R4 does not read my files

Hello guys, after reading some guides here i decided to register and ask you why my r4 card does not work on my 3DS XL.

I have downloaded Wood r4 from http://www.r4isdhc.com.cn/showDownload.asp?id=10, it loads into my 3DS XL but I can't see any game.

Please let me know if someone has a fix or solution for that.

you can only play .nds file this way... you know that right?

Oh really? Did't know about that. I will try with a .nds file. Until now I tried with a file with .3ds extension.
Is there a card which allows .3ds files ?

gateway, is the best but it's limited till fw 9.2 for now, and a little more complex to start

with that firmware (9.5) only sky3ds (and clones like qq3ds) will work
sky3ds is a real card emulator... it will work just as like you used a real game..
you can have multiple roms on sky3ds using a phisical button switch, there is a limit of 31 roms in a card (if you have lots of games its a pain to select the one you want)
there are no menus, no homebrew etc.. but works on every firmware so far

edit: since the card is expensive compared to a DS flashcart... i reccomend you reading tutorials and information about it before buying it.. to see if it really worths it.. for that price and headaches that it can give you somethimes i rather get real games from used shops\ebay xD

thanks wadio87! i did't check all the photo's so i missed the fw you used, sky3ds is for now your best option indeed, though i don't like the card since there are a lot o complaints about online play (lot o bans), no homebrew, savegame corruptions, and a lot of random problems no one got answers for. but it's the only card working above fw 9.2 so far.
