It's worldwide but only specific to USA/EUR right now. Courtesy to shub13 for that info.

Crap, and technically-that means we WON'T have an update for another 1000 years. lol

Edit: And please don't double post-edit it instead. I only did it in the beginning because I wanted to reserve it and have it moved so that it can be the second post. :)

One Question: Do they want to release the exploit they're using to the publicity this year?

Most likely-just not in this month since they still have quite a bit to do.

Yeah that's understandable. They wanted to release the exploit for homebrew and I think that they'll first write a small lib for simple things before they release it.

Information has been updated as to how many games can be exploited, release dates, etc.

I hope a game that I want to buy but haven't yet is on the list. That way I can buy a game I've been wanting to play and get the exploit. Two birds with one stone :P

I'm still on a pretty outdated firmware (because I'm an acekard person :/ ), hopefully doesn't effect me. I refuse to update anymore :P

useless if u dont give a name of one of the games.... releasing info like this is just to piss off everyone... better off keeping it yourself until something comes from it

Because then it can be patched. Being hush-hush about it now means they can futureproof it against Nintendo better.

its going to be patched anyways once it is out..... if you want to be able to use an exploit in the future just stay on the current update.

It won't be patched if they make CFW for it

I'm just excited that they managed to do something with the 3DS. I'll wait for as long as it takes for a release. That way it won't be like the Vita - one update and it's done. I'd rather they take the time to perfect the product, rather than rush to release code and have it patched up within a few days.

Not good for any new 3DS owners then, is it? Not good for anyone who wants to use the eShop or any other online services.

Not really because the CFW will have its own Update System

The only way they can patch a game is either through System Update or Releasing a Patch on the eShop neither of which can be forced upon the user

I actually asked him about CFW and he said it's impossible right now-they don't have RSA permissions or something like that.

lol oh god no, not even sure I can look at that stuff any more.

I was hoping Harvest Moon (yeah I love it, eat me) or the new Professor Layton game.
