Hardware New XBox 360 Slim 4G

Ok, I bit the bullet and bought a new XBox 360 Slim 4G..

What are my mod options?

Is there a guide for flashing the drive?

All the guides I see are old, mine is fairly new 2011-11-08

Depending on what dvd drive it has it can be flashed to read burned games. Alternatively you can RGH it, if its the Trinity motherboard, but if its the Corona mobo you will have to wait for a new RGH chip to come out.

What does the power supply say. The Trinity is 10.83A output and the Corona is 9.6A output.

At this point I'd be happy being able to flash the drive to run backups..

Either way you'll have to open it up.

I'd suggest you do that and note down your drive.
If unfortunate, A Hitachi cannot be flashed at the time of writing. (no idea if it's drive keys can be dumped)
If fortunate, A Liteon can be flashed is you have a unlocked PCB (VERY RARE) or preform the Sputnik360 hack or the Kamikaze hack.

For a ODDE you'll have to have at least read access to the drive (ie. Keys getting dumped)

OP has a Corona board.
Not a Trinity/Velje.

It has a LiteOn DG-16D5S -11B
Firmware 1175
Hardware A0A0

Can I patch this drive?

Yes and no.

Yes for the part that it had write access after you have soldered on additional hardware/preformed a Kamikaze hack.

No for the part that LT+ 3.0 is IN PROGRESS.

Be patient for a few more days/weeks and it will be updated to LT+ 3.0

Although I got this XBox new, it clearly was a return.. In fact, as I was opening the case, I noticed there were
no "break this seal" stickers on the case or inside on the metal.. Plus there was a CD in the tray..

I guess someone else got this one and realised it can't be modded yet and returned it..

lucky me..

Hopefully a solution will happen soon..

For now, you could flash it to LT+ 2.0 and stick to playing non-AP25 (thats nearly all) XGD2 games.

OP has a Corona board.
Not a Trinity/Velje.

Sorry my mistake, I meant Corona, the new x360glitchip works with the corona board, no need for the hana chip.

X360 glitchchip on a Corona is more like an POC then a real hack..
You'll need the HANA in order to time the reset pulse iirc.

I don't want to go into much detail on this but since the POC is done on a Trinity board (wich still has the Corona) it isn't a real hack.
It's also not done on a REAL Corona yet afaik.

Sooo... While i'm waiting to be able to patch the drive, I guess I should get my old xbox fat fixed..

That way I'll have one to play games and the other for the media player, live, etc..

You can flash the drive. You just won't be able to play most newer games (Sep. 2011+)
