that's insane i wonder how much it cost to get the cpu's switched.
couldn't he have moved the emmc contents over with software though?

Holy crap. Someone did it. Someone actually did it!

If someone could do this for me that would be awesome, although it sounds like this particular person was extremely skilled.

Dude could have saved half the work by just nand modding them both and digitially swapping the contents of the NAND instead. The processor's still have to be swapped, but at least he would be soldering one chip instead of two. :P
I wonder if he's here.
And feeling regret right now.

This guy could make a lot of cash if he had offered his expertise and converted other people 3DS into North American versions.

I'm just waiting for replacement parts for the New 3DS so that I can take the SNES style buttons and put them on my N3DS XL :P
