Hardware new 3DS (NOT XL!!!) speaker - normal behaviour?

Hey,

When I put my ears really close to the speakers, I can hear a very faint static sound (similar to "pink noise"). It won't dissapear if I turn off the speakers.

Whenever I turn my 3DS on or off, I can also hear a popping sound from the speakers.

Is this normal and do you have the same with your 3DS?

I have just tested this on my 'New' 3DS XL and can confirm a static constant noise when the volume is turned all the way down. When turned up its unnoticeable.
Static noise was not present listening through headphones.
