i will tell you another secret.... there are emulators for PHONES WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
I too enjoy playing on a device without physical controls and ruin my battery life in 1 hour flat.
better than switch, it would probably die in less time XD
phones have good batteries dude
You got it.
I hope I can use this to play my NES cartridges on the Switch when I get it, the Switch is cartridge based after all so that would make sense.
I don't think you own a Switch if you think it'd last less than an hour on battery
Actual buttons > Phone emulators
no i don't have one, it's too much expensive to afford

bluetooth controller, xperia play, lots of things
Yeah it's actually really decent. I got a little over 3 hours on battery with BOTW
Just gotta find the right pinouts my dude
I don't want to pay extra money just to play a game on a tiny screen with a controller, you can't hold your phone while holding a controller so you have to put your face right up to your phone to be able to see it well. Plus, you need to get a stand to prop up the phone.
With the switch all you need is the console and an emulator.
Xperia Play is not a great example, I think. I had one because the physical buttons were inviting, but god damn was that phone slow. And glitchy.
EDIT: Also that thing is difficult to find anymore.
emulators are enough for me, i can't afford switch
lol no rip, i can play fine, i'm a hardcore gamer playing everything with keyboard XD
Sorry, but playing touch controls for emulators for a smartphone sucks ass. Physical controls > touch screen controls any day of the week.
i know about that
Then please don't discredit the Switch before anything homebrew is even released. What if people don't want to play on a 4" screen with crappy controls? Did you ever consider that?
i will tell you a secret... emula ok jk XD
yeah i know about that :3
also when homebrew gets finally released will be much better
So WiiU haves one emulator for each (virtual console) console
Yeah and the emulators from Nintendo aren't even that great or even compatible compared to unofficial (superior) ones. Dark colors, bad aspect ratio/scaling, washed out textures. Only M2 (GBA) and NERD (DS) emulators were good, Nintendo stupidly used linear audio interpolation in some of their N64 games, which was unnecessary.
