I was wondering could someone help me to compile the GameCube Source?

I saw WiiPower's note but was not able to execute it completely:

"This application is complied using a modfied version of devkitPPC r21. The included gcc 4.5.1 produces
an error when compiling with the parameter -Os, but that is required to get the GC low plugin below 6KB.
In order to compile this project(the GC part to be precise), you need to have the files from gcc 4.4.3 in
your devkitPPC folder. (no need to delete gcc 4.5.1)"

I understand that I need to get the gcc 4.4.3 files somehow but I couldn't figure out how to do this. Do I need to get the source and compile? I found a file called gcc-core-4.4.3.tar.bz2 but wasn't able to compile it when I extracted the files. There wasn't any make files like the other projects I've worked with. Also from what I can tell devkitPPC r21 is no longer a downloadable file on the devkitpro site. The oldest I could find was r23.

I'm an experienced programmer but more familiar with Java and C#. I understand C/C++ but my most of my experience is limited to Microsoft C++ and the open source C compilers are new to me.

I have installed DevKitPro on a Windows 7 OS. Thanks for your help.

Ignore this post... project built ok when i tweaked the optimization flags but didnt run on the wii. The gamecube code booted up ok, but when the game was ready to run the disc didn't spin up and nothing happened.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I got a Mertroid Prime .gcm, burned it to a disk, installed MIOSv10, use the cMIOSWiiGator patch thing, and used all the correct settings in Neogamma (the latest version). It gives me the DVD+R/Bad Burn/DL Problem? error. The disk used was a TDK DVD+R disk with 4.7 GB of space. I burned the .gcm using ImgBurn using a write speed of 4x. What went wrong?

As you can read its a DVD+R, the wii doesnt like DVD+R, you could change the booktype of imgburn to fix that problem or use DVD-R discs instead.

Ok, thanks for the help.

EDIT: When changing the booktype can I use the same disk with the iso burned on it? Or do I need to make a whole new burn?
EDIT Again: Also what would I change it to? DVD-R?

Ok I need some help here. I got a DVD-R CD. Burned it at 4x speed like usual with the gcm. Used neogamma and gave me a error: "Failed to read DVD 207, Halting" Neogamma then stopped, even though the Wii wasn't frozen. After fiddling with some settings in neogamma I got it to start up, it however gave me a black screen for 10 minutes then gave the gamecube disk error.

Is there a newer or updated version of NeoGamma available? I'm having problems with the latest wii console where when you enter any older usb loader, controller simply disconnects. Problem is fixed with USB Loader GX v3.0, but I would like to use Neogamma too.

Hi, I am having problem trying to make backup gamecube games on mini discs to work...
Using NeoGamma R9, I get the following error:

Error: No DVD (n)

The bottom of the screen says:
NeoGamme R9 beta44, IOS249 (Rev 21008)

I installed a bunch of things I remember installing MIOS-64-v10.wad then IOS236, D2X cIOS249[57] and D2X cIOS250..
These discs were burned to work with my mod-chipped gamecube...I don't know if they are supposed to work with NeoGamma.

I am going to try to make a multigame disc, but is anyone have thoughts on this?

EDIT: It works using the multigame disc...I am just a little desapointed that I have to burn all my gamecube games again instead of using the mini dvds...

Hey WiiPower, is it possible to get into a future version(if you make one) the ability to hold down Left/Right and scroll quickly through the games? I have a ton of games on my drive and constantly clicking through each one takes a while. It would be nice to have a quick scroll feature...

Yeah, I'm well aware of all the usb loaders. But I appreciate the smart ass remark though. I prefer Neogamma. So that's why I asked for the feature to be implement in this loader and not if I there was a different loader where I can scroll through faster...
