<img src="http://i33.tinypic.com/19qxci.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

includes
1x NPlayer DS Flashcard

...No freebies here. A free card reader would have been nice...nonetheless, no biggie <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

<img src="http://i33.tinypic.com/2d98gf9.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />
<img src="http://i35.tinypic.com/28svtag.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Build quality for the Nplayer was very good, no chip sticking out or anything...but the chips on the back of the nplayer aren't protected like a normal gamecard.

4. GUI (along with setup)
<img src="http://www.ndsplayer.com/images/i2.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://www.ndsplayer.com/images/i3.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

The setup is rather simple, go to ndsplayer.com and download the firmware, drag and drop the extracted contents to the root of your microsd card...done!

Once booting the DS, you're presented with 3 options...:
Games:
very simple, upon pressing the games button, you'll see your list of games. Some of them even have cheats. To choose cheats, press y and select them. Or just press A to load the game. you may turn soft reset on by pressing R, and adjust brightness with L

Multimedia:
You use Moonshell for multimedia. Its basically a very good piece of homebrew that plays music and movies and text.

Slot 2:
Very easy, just boot slot 2 games and flashcards by using your m3 as a passme!I don't have a slot 2, but Ive tested games and they all worked fine.

Extra Features

Cheats

Press Y when scrolling upon a cheat supported game.

The NPlayer has a built in action replay, to update the codes, you could do it manually, but it's easier to simply update the firmware to get the updated cheats <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Soft Reset
Soft reset can be performed by pressing A+B+X+Y+L+R in-game, doing this button combination will bring you back to the main menu.

Moonshell

Moonshell is what the Nplayer uses to play media such as music, as well as video.

SDHC Card Support!
The NDSplayer has support for SDHC cards. I tested this feature with a 4gb transcend sdhc microsd card.

DLDI
Found in most flashcards today, DLDI allows homebrew games to play without the need to patch!

Conclusion:

Coming from the makers of R4, I will be expecting good updates and support from the Nplayer team.

+From makers of R4

+Basic extra features such as SOFT RESET AND CHEATS!

I think its too early to judge it. I mean when R4 came out it was awesome. So maybe R4 team still have some tricks up their sleeves? If this is real R4 Dev team.

So? I could say I was made by the R4 Team; does that make it true? On top of that, most sites will tell you whatever you want to hear to sell you a product, or in this case advertise it.

I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just stating that I have to believe it's a clone. You'd assume the actual R4 team would finally come up with a new line.

Destructobot, what if they promise really hard that they're the revived R4 Team?
They can feel free to actually update the damn thing like the R4 team used to.
That's an excellent point, so we shall wait until they make an update (the R4 team stopped making updates months ago, so maybe if the NDSplayer updates, they would have improved their os, thus making it BETTER than the R4).
