nds-bootstrap loader: Run commercial NDS backups from an SD Card

nds-bootstrap:

Thanks to the work of ahezard, Gericom, Apache, Robz8, _catcatcat, and shutterbug2000 and other contributors, we can now load NDS games from the SD card, without any flashcard/SLOT-1 card.

Don't expect high compatibility, but do expect many, many updates.

lol. There is no way what-so-ever that summer can't happen. You should say when summer arives...

Well you know with how world politics are going right now, we could end up in nuclear winter...So in a way Summer coming might not be a 100% certainty.

Yeah perhaps it's best you aren't in the know. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Plus I don't want to get too political anyways and I myself believe s***t won't hit the fan that quickly. Besides the point is, Summer is a 100% certainty that it will come. Only a world ending/cataclysmic event could "cancel" Summer coming. :P

So I was hoping to run:
vgh (Video Game Hero)
Aperture Science DS
Sonic CD DS

What's the best older bootloader version for homebrew?

You set Mario Kart DS as donor ROM, not the game you're running, lol.

A clean MKDS ROM will work.
How feasible would it be to develop a homebrew "donor rom", or, more specifically, a homebrew arm 7 binary specifically optimized to work the best with nds bootstrap?
It would have two main advantages. The first being it isn't counted as warez, so it can be bundled and linked to freely. The second would be potential optimizations specifically for bootstrap.

That'd be great actually.

The ARM7 binary provides an ABI for touch screen inputs, mic input, sound output, wireless comunication, RTC and probably more I'm forgetting about.
You can't reimplement all that.
