There was no special edition. Just Nanashi no Game, the sequel Nanashi no Game Me, and the two DSiWare games that cannot be translated because it is impossible to play pirated DSiWare.

And to clarify a little more: The patcher will do a CRC check on the ROM before patching. If it detects an unexpected ROM it will end. The expected ROM input is a clean dump as detailed here.

Thanks for the info and link guys.
Nice that it'll do a check to make sure the Rom will work :)

It's because they're really obscure. However, they ARE listed on the Wikipedia page for Nanashi no Game and there are a few videos about them. We talked about them a few pages back, too.

Wow, can't believe it'll get released in just a few days. I think I've said it before, but anyway, thanks a lot guys for all your hard work.

Nagato posted his first breakthrough on July 15th.

If the translation is published this weekend, the entire project will have been completed in exactly 13 weeks.

Truly an auspicious date for the release! I'm sure the spirits will forgive you for not meeting the 7-week goal. ;)

That's a pretty fast translation, however. Most translations take within 3 months to a year if they're not simple menu patches.

To be fair, this game is a little short and doesn't have as much text as many other games. The main translator said so himself some pages back.

It's an amazing game no less(And careful when you play it in a quiet room, very late at night. It's very scary D:)

    Good job, guys ^_^ ^_^

I'm not a fan of the game or the genre but I'm incredibly happy that a game that was once said 'almost impossible to translate' is finally translated, and in record time at that(if the weekend deadline is to be met). Who knows, one day i could be bored enough to forget that I'm totally terrified of the Horror genre and play it. :)

How do you know it isn't real?
Maybe people are just claiming to have played through it to lure you in.
Just make sure you beat it before the deadline.
It could kill you, or maybe just kill your DS.

At last we are ready to release the full patch.
Thank you to summvs, Ryusui, and G-Han for the hard work they put into this project. Thank you to our testers Sora de Eclaune and GhostCar for taking the time to play the beta patches and report bugs so we could provide everyone else with an even better release. And of course thank you to everyone who has been following and supporting the project.

Please use the following template if you would like to report a bug.
This is a list of things NOT considered bugs:
    - Anything relating to UK English
    - A player's name causing line breaks sooner than usual

PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE README!
    Patch v1.0: http://www.mediafire.com/?vc6qninlh7tz6db

    Enjoy!

P.S. There is a special CURSED level that can be played by inputting a secret word* on the name input screen. Good luck!

    * Secret word will be revealed sometime over the weekend since the special level is based on an existing one from about halfway into the game and I would like to avoid possible spoilers. The word can still be guessed from this post.

Thanks a lot to all the people involved in this patch :)
You managed to create a team quickly and released it relatively fast (compared to other projects) after the first text hack.

    I'll try it a little.
    Thank you :)

(I'll see if someone can post it on the portal)

    it seems obvious.

    Edit, for users:
The ROM listed as correct from OfflineList (advanscene) is not working by drag-dropping it to patch.bat, even though the MD5 match >.>
Rename the ROM to ind-nngj.nds and double click the patch.bat instead.

Now that the patch is finished, I'll now offer my thanks to the people who helped with this patch.
This is a game that I have most eagerly anticipated and I am glad to have seen it finished.

Once again, thank you for your hard work and I hope you have a very relaxing weekend, knowing that you have made a bunch of random strangers really happy. ^_^
