Hacking my friend R4 broke,want's advice

sooooooo... what the title says,he asked me what would be the best way to replace it and where you would buy it,i told him that the best thing to do would be to check shoptemp for an acekard since i have one and ehy! it still works,but just in case the answer changed in the last year i'm making this thread

Acekard is outdated so your friend should get a Supercard DSTwo.

The fact it actually works. Unless this isn't a 3DS or DSi, still the SUpercard has emulation, is still updated and works with every game.

it's an old ds and i doubt he will ever upgrade,really as long as it doesn't break again and it's cheap (i've seen the superdstwo going for a lot for example) the rest doesn't matter

How long has he had his R4 for anyway? Was it one of the knock-off versions, if so they don't tend to last long. I still have my original R4 from early 2009 and still works perfectly fine. You might aswell go the full yard and get a DSTwo. At least that way, if your friend ever decides he wants a DSi or 3DS (or if it breaks) in the future, he's covered for DS games anyway. And it has somewhat decent gba compatibility which you can't get with other standalone flashcarts.
