No, I followed that guide and only downloaded the ios58 and that fixed it for me. All I did to get that was googled "IOS58-64-v6176.wad" and put it into the folders it told me to, then followed the instructions. It was quite easy after all the hassle it had caused me!

I've managed to get most of files I need and get homebrew on and ran syscheck. Used NUSD and also Googled and downloaded the missing files that modmii stated I still needed. But there's two files I just can't find.

    IOS50v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP])
    IOS52v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP])
No idea how to get these or download them with NUSD.

Just like Rochdaleguy I got almost everything I needed except for these two files (md5 verification always fails):

    IOS50v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
    IOS52v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad

Any idea about how I could solve this issue?

IOS 50 and 52 are from < System Menu 4.0 and no longer used so you can ignore them.

Been mulling this over for a few days and then it hit me. This software came out when Microsoft Vista was the default operating system. I dug out an old laptop from the loft with vista on. Downloaded ModMii. And everything worked like a dream. Not a single file invalid, not one file not downloaded.

So if you have a vista pc somewhere or can partition a small part of your current PC or laptop to put it on. Then your problems are solved.

what's the best way to "re-mod" an already softmodded Wii I have bought from someone that might have old files etc.
I don't have the Wii yet, It will be here tomorrow but would ModMii be the best option to do this?

he has an SD card in there, would I be better off to make my own SD card (or format his and start over) and is there anything I need to pay attention to anything to not brick it.
best of all, would there be a guide for this kind of scenario somewhere?

Just run ModMii as if nothing had ever been done to the Wii before and it'll take care of everything needed.

I got it working in Modmii, by typing I Agree, then hitting 1, then adding each of the 'Fakesigned' IOS files, along with any others I missed. Only way I could get it to work. Hope that helps.

So I did a bit of experimenting last night, there definitely seems to be an issue with using ModMii on a computer running Windows 10, I tried twice on my W10 (fully updated x86) machine and got all kinds of file not found/md5 mismatch errors, tried it twice, very similar results each time. I then fired up my older PC running Windows 7 Ultimate (SP1 X86) and ModMi ran near perfectly, with just two timeouts that did not reoccur after CTRL-C, N, ENTER input.

I haven't tested this any further, but it appears that something in Windows 10 is blocking ModMii. I forgot to mention that ModMii also failed to create the HTML guide on both Windows 10 attempts.

Hopefully this is an easy fix for XFlak as I'm sure not everybody has access to a pre W10 machine.

OK.. First of all I did a syscheck on the wii, copied it over to SD card, stuck the SD in my laptop and dragged it onto an open ModMII window. It failed to download the all the IOS's so then picked the remaining IOS's as my message above.

Still a noob myself - but seemed the right thing to do.

Didn't have any issues with the HTML creations - so that's weird. Might see if I can fire up a win7 vm

I think so, wilbrew worked for me very recently, earlier this week.
