Haha, obfuscation by complexity, I guess that works. Yeah, Python is where its at, I use it pretty much daily in my work.

Got Configurable USB Loader to use Nintendont, but the strangest thing happens. If I try to boot a GC game first, it hangs when Nintendont trys to load IOS 58. If I load a Wii game first and then exit it, and then run a GC game, Nintendont loads IOS 58 just fine and everything is gravy. I have no idea what that's about, but I guess it's good enough for me.

Thanks again!

@XFlak
Greetings, I'm new to the forum but not new to modding. I've had my wii Modded to play backed up Games from a hard drive for a while now; but got interested in getting it to play my gamecube games as well. I've been trying to install ModMii for a while now but to no avail. I've tried two computers at home and one computer on a different ISP and no matter what I do I get "Installation has Failed, please check your internet connection and firewall settings and try again". I have lurked on the board a while, but with 400 pages I may have missed something. If this issue for the current build has been solved, please point me to the post. I really appreciate your work and thank you!

Hi there. I made notes during my attempt at using your guide and will post them in detail to assist with improvements. However, first of all I need clarification on something. My "COPY_TO_USB" folder never gets written to or populated with any files, even if I go through the wizard on just the USB loader section. I notice under "COPY_TO_SD" there is a folder created with lots of stuff named "usb-loader". Do I copy the contents of this folder to my USB drive or not?

EDIT: Ah...just found this.....

"...on a related note, what format you choosing for your HDD? If using NTFS, ModMii will save usb-loader files to the SD card for greater functionality. Only certain forwarder channels are able to launch apps from an NTFS HDD, but even then, the app itself won't be able to load config files from NTFS, so all your settings will be default settings. So basically, if you want to have full functionality and avoid requiring an SD card, use FAT32, not NTFS."

So it sounds like that's what happened. I chose NTFS indeed.
It sounded like it would be easier but perhaps I will try fat32 and scrub the ISO backups somehow to be smaller. I think the wii backup manager can do this right?

Hey, I really love your tool it helped me a lot but I felt like an idiot after trying SNEEK(+DI) for days just to figure out that SNEEK does not work with neek2o and SD cards anymore, the same with priiloader and sneek. A small note on the corresponding tab would have saved me lots of gray hair. Still appreciate it though :D

Hi,

I've used the ModMii installer and I've copied everything the COPY_TO_SD folder to the root of my SD card, but now I seem to be falling down at the first hurdle. I pout the SD card into my Wii, booting it up and nothing seems to be happening. I go to the SD card thing from the main menu and it's not finding anything. I've checked and the Wii can see the SD card (I can copy a save game to it).

I'm using a PAL 4.3E Wii and v6.3.6 ModMii (I'm using the skin to create the files).

Any ideas where I might be going wrong?

d2x-v10-beta53-alt

Pros : 2 usb ports supported. Fully plug&play usb devices, meaning that you can connect them when the game asks for them.
Cons: Lower compatibility for nand emulation.

Thanks gburgue , i installed 249 with 56 base and 250 with 57 base , but it is not working with the other port either . I think the ports are just..broken somehow . It is weird that the usb devices get power and even work in WiiMc . Any other suggestions ?

I believe installing a CIOS 249 will overwrite the existing one or should i delete it then install fresh ?
I have no clue why it is not working , i tried a disc with Neogamma and it loads fine
I think i have to try something like Sneek , but don't know how to set it up

I tried to use Nintendont and the USB port is working there , but no matter what i try it won't work with USB Loader in Wii mode . My thought is to try a Sneek + DI setup , followed the steps from Modmii but it will not boot , left if for 1h+ , screen shows nothing . I can see some extra folders appearing on SD card though , how long should i wait ? Any Sneek expert here ?

i got an error downloading some stuff. Look at the attached image.

Judging by the error, its a fairly generic one usually caused by a) a virus scanner halting the write operation on the file, or b) corrupted memory. I would recommend trying to redownload the file and if that doesn't work without giving you the same error, make sure any and all AV software is disabled. When using ModMii, I haven't had any issues with Windows Defender and Sophos being active at the same time, but I can't promise anything for other AVs.

If you still get the error, try running a memory scan on your machine. MemTestx86 is a great piece of software that I've used for years, and if you have any RAM issues, it'll find them. If you don't have any CDs/DVDs/USB keys available to make use of their ISO, Windows7 and up have built in memory diagnostics that might help.

I was using modii with out issues to download files for hacking a certain wii wersion. For backup purposes in case NUS goes down, I attempted to download everything from page one and that's when I got the error. So maybe it was just one item that wasn't downloading. I'll see if I can see what exactly is causing the problem. It looked like Wii system menu 3.2 was downloading when the error occurred.
