Hello everybody,
After comparing several packs, I decided that the Casper solution was the right one for me to use softmods without risk for the Wii (I already have a WODE inside + CD reader changed to previous version to be able to rip games). I used basic 6.2.4 version (even if skin version seems to download more files), following the Abstinence Wizard.
The standard softmod is pretty low-risk also; abstinence wizard is mainly there to avoid voiding warranties. And the skin\classic versions will download the same things, only difference between the two is the interface and not all activities are supported in the skin version

III. Launch neek2o Without Hacking Your Wii
1. Launch an Exploit on Your Wii (just says to launch wilbrand from message and that it runs Casper)
2. Helpful Hints on Using neek2o (by pressing "1" on the WiiMote on emulated Wii main screen nothing appears, I just loose the cursor and can't do anything else)
...There is no further install steps or guide, just the credits.
Abstinence wizard remember, it's supposed to be short
Problems :
- Apps folder only contains Casper folder and files. Shouldn't it contain also Wiiflow, Priiloader and Postloader folders and files ?
most of those files are installed directly to the emulated nand.
- NSwitch's download error, it says the file is corrupted after downloading, but maybe it's just because there's a new version since yesterday (SHA-1 is correct when I check it).
yea, I think I got a PM from etheboss about it yesterday, I'll need to update the MD5, but you can just ignore that error, it should be fine.
- Wode in flat mode (bypassed like if it didn't exist), easydisk in correct port (the one near the side of the Wii), SD card inserted too, Wilbrand can be launched, but next screen just says Casper v0.2 (ever if it is v0.3)
and it talks about the bootios file and after a few seconds I can see the emulated menu (stuck on Casper screen if easydisk not inserted).
how is this a problem?
- When I launch Wiiflow channel it just goes back to emulated menu after 10-20 seconds.
make sure wiiflow is saved in your apps folder
- Launching Neek2o channel sends back to real Wii main screen.
normal behaviour
- Postloader channel won't work either, freezing.

- Pressing 1 on emulated main screen just masks the cursor (wiimote and reset button deactivated but the music and animations still play).

Troubleshoot :
- Tried to add channels in app folder manually and wad files in WAD :
> Wiiflow logo comes, then error listing many 000000xx files the back to emulated menu.
> No change for Neek2o.
> Postloader can launch, I can see Casper and other apps, but no games in Wii menu (there should be 2, wbfs and sneek format). Same errors when channels launched from here.
I know neek2o used to have problems with sneek+di, not sure if that's all been fixed. Report in the neek2o thread.

Today's new error (but I'm at work) : it downloads SneekInstallerv0.7a-cred.rar (OK), then Autoit (OK), then 0000000e.app from IOS80, NUSFileGrabber 1.3 by Leathl and XFlak... Grabbing Ticket... Downloading Failed... 407 Proxy Authentication Required. File not found.
could be an issue with ninty servers and\or your proxy. ninty servers occasionally go down, but they typically come back within a day or so
Should I avoid using Abstinence Wizard and download manually every needed files ? Is there a guide to build the full thing manually ? I would really like to use Casper to play with an emulated nand, without risk of brick, Wode works fine, but it's screen is too small and not very user friendly.
I would just use the standard modmii wizard\softmod
