I have a small surprise for you all.

I was messing around with Win10PE_x86 and accidentally made a working standalone WinPE that boots straight into Malwarebytes, bootable from DVD/USB. So I've decided to share it with you all. I even updated the definitions before uploading it. Enjoy!

This might be a stupid question... but as far as I know DVDs don't come larger than 8.5 gigs. The MediCat DVD size is listed as 10.2. How does one go about burning "MediCat DVD" to a DVD?

It's steadily outgrown the DVD format, so I'm going to have to rename it with the next release. I don't have a Blu-ray burner to see if it will boot from a 25GB BD-R, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.

Hey, first of all thanks for creating this tool. I'm having a problem whenever I try to start up lubuntu or reboot/boot straight into windows. I'm getting "not a com32R image" and "not enough memory" errors. I can boot into mini Windows 10 just fine. Used Rufus to create the bootable flash drive and followed your Rufus image to the T.

Thanks

I'm not 100% positive, but to me it seems like an EFI issue, because computers without EFI seem to work fine.

Jayro, I'm running Mini10 from 17.04.01, and when running disk2vhd32, it shows an error message about not being able to start because VSSAPI.dll is missing. Is this a bug or is there some chicanery required to get it running?

I have attempted to download and verify the checksums of all 8 segments of MediCat DVD 17.04.01.stable from MEGA. The only segment that does not verify against the published checksums is "medicat.17.04.01.stable.7z.007". The published checksums from hashes.txt on MEGA are :

Name: medicat.17.04.01.stable.7z.007
Date: 4/30/2017
Size: 1 GB (1,073,741,824 bytes)
--------
SHA-1: 4E9D6FE3C3F0E52BCEEC36712D0C8B5BE48043B9
MD5: E4E108212816BEED9EA9364C65711A7B
CRC32: 3C5FD1CB

*****************************************************************************

The checksums that Igorware Hasher App calculates from my download of "medicat.17.04.01.stable.7z.007" are:

SHA-1: 979ca8f1ad53edd0f6b873db77f880990c15b435
MD5: 246d7df01dc4ad487ebedca5de338057
CRC32: 8c0a2b11

Could some else please download "medicat.17.04.01.stable.7z.007" from MEGA, size = 1 GB (1,073,741,824 bytes) and verify the checksums. Please note that I have downloaded "medicat.17.04.01.stable.7z.007" three times and get the the same resulting checksums.

Thanks

Hi,

I've downloaded MediCat DVD 17.04.01.stable from Google and Mega but still have an error when trying to extract archives.
At 72%, 7-ZIP stop with "Data errors 17.04.01.stable.iso". In the folder where 7_ZIP extracted the data I found an ISO of 9.453.147 kb.

@Mat69 : I've verified the checksum of the medicat.17.04.01.stable.7z.007 and found the same checksums :

SHA-1: 979ca8f1ad53edd0f6b873db77f880990c15b435
MD5: 246d7df01dc4ad487ebedca5de338057

Thank you BeFree, for verifying the checksums on file medicat.17.04.01.stable.7z.007. All Jayro needs to do is reupload that file to MEGA. BTW, I have checked the other 7 segment files that I downloaded from MEGA and they match the published checksums. Thanks, just tested it out but unfortunately getting a error, system thread exception handled ntfs.sys. Not sure if I need to test it on a different flash or tweak something in the bios.
[NVM] Got it working, used the same flash just updated rufus to 2.15beta instead of 2.14 and kept cluster size on default instead of bumping up to max, not sure what fixed it but working now thanks.

These are my results with medicat.17.04.01.stable.iso:

Syslinux won't boot either way (you can somewhat get it to boot messing with it manually, but then of course all paths are wrong when handling the MediCat's syslinux cfgs)...

GRUB with the stick formatted to FAT32 won't copy the iso (obviously, it's too big).
GRUB with the stick formatted to NTFS will initially boot, but then most tools will fail to run properly or at all.

I also got 246d7df01dc4ad487ebedca5de338057 for the 007 file from mega. Used IDM to get it from google and got 22cf7b9e7db81754012c0a0b12a7d744, downloaded it again from google but using the browser and got 246d7df01dc4ad487ebedca5de338057 again, either why only conclusion is neither file has been uploaded correctly, hopefully OP has original file 007 otherwise entire thing will need to be re-uploaded.

Quick question,
Does anybody use DVDShrink? Maybe you can help me with this. I'm trying to shrink the medicat.17.04.01.stable.iso image down a little bit because the 9.2GB image won't fit onto the 8.1GB DVD and that's all I have (a Verbatim 8.5GB DVD+R DL). DVD Shrink always encounters an error saying that it failed to open the image file.

I've used DVDShrink in the past and as far as I'm aware it's only used for Movie or Series DVD's that you can play in a DVD player by your tv, not DVD's that contain software.
