...I am well aware, I was simply stating a hypothetical situation.
Just point out how funny it is that nvidia shield supposedly has 4K on console mode through HDMI output to tv, but Switch has up to 900P Upscaled to 1080P I dunno if i'm wrong or not but from what i gathered in terms of information, it may be outdated.
* he has upcoming product to sell on the Switch, or...
* he was paid by Nintendo to say positive things about the Switch, generating more hype for the Hype Machine, or...
* I am just reading into an off-the-cuff comment too much
This is left open as a possibility in the future either way TBH.
Yea Nintendo is always outdate in spec lol..... But thats never been what sells there systems.
They normally try to make up there spec with new ways to play the games.
Not trying to nit pick, but that doesn't make any sense at all. surface mount (as opposed to a through hole? sounds kinda like you're saying that because it sounds techy) another chip to the processor...The processor is a chip. are you saying they would need to add a chip to a chip via surface mount? like a backpack? That is just overly complicated, and not how things like that are done. All Nintendo would have to do in the future is come out with an upgraded switch, just like the new 3DS. they wouldn't surface mount another chip where the cpu/gpu is now. they would just make an upgraded mobo with a newer cpu/gpu. I don't know why everyone is acting like the switch we see now is as powerful as it can ever be. We have seen with newer consoles that it is very possible to upgrade a system without the need for an entirely new generation.
Metal Gear...isn't coming back. Konami took it from under him a while ago and the new game that's being made(without his involvement) is a co-op zombie game.
Yea you would have to remake the whole switch inorder to give it more power.
Then it would cause alot of problems with the system being split.
Think if you got a " NEW" switch game that run fine on that but wont play on your switch. that would kill both systems.
Just like the New3ds, it plays the old games just great, but there was like 2 NEW 3ds only games and a few that simply didnt run good on the normal 3ds.
This makes people not buy your game if they have the under system.
Just adds to the confusion or everything.
And in your last post you said add a more powerful dock.
So do we just never buy a metal gear game again? Hope konami sell it to kojima and when he make one we buy them again?
I can't agree at all with you. The power of a system don't define the quality (playability, interaction, involvement and fun) of a game. Game's are what make a good console (take the Vita as an example), not it's "Hi-Res" graphics, which for the human eye and brain are just too much information to store at once. The eye perceives the image as a whole (call it a set if you'd like), and the brain is the one that takes what it considers more relevant and more important for that single moment (the most "interesting parts of that set"), and even when there are some people that can "store" the picture as a whole and remember it as a whole, most of humans can't, (at least not consciously). Our brains take "bits" of it and that's what we get at the end. So "Hi-Res" graphics are a milisecond lasting visual effect at 60fps/120fps, and in my personal opinion are a waste of processing power for the console.
Sadly that's what it's being sold to us as console, smartphones and computer players, "Hi-Res" graphics are the future on remaked games...
So then, where's originality and creativity on remaking? Adding "Hi-Res" graphics surely isn't.
That's my humble opinion.
Hmmm. you have me confused with someone else. I never said that. I Know that that isn't possible.
It wouldn't be a problem in the sense you are talking about. it wouldn't have to be "split". yes you can make more powerful games, but you don't necessarily have to make them that way. this is a very common practice nowadays. the other two big game console manufacturers are doing it, and nintendo did it with the 3ds. you are saying because two games were made that could only run on the new 3ds therefor it's a flawed idea? i'm confident that the switch can be upgraded at some point without all the doom and gloom that you are thinking of. I'm not trying to argue with you. I know you will want to reply how i'm wrong, but if you think about what i'm saying, i'm sure you will have to agrea that it's very likely that nintendo will at some point upgrade the switch just like the playstation and xbox are doing.
I don't primarily mean for a focus on graphics-intensive games, though. The Wii U had this same issue. They lost a lot of third party devs after the initial release of the console, because there was such a power difference between the big three consoles. Of course, while first party support is what draws people to a system, third party support is quite important as well, and it's a necessity to have their games come to the system. Luckily, there's a bit less of a gap between the Switch and the Xbox One, but at the same time, I can't help but think that the Switch is too late to the game, and by the time it gets its bearings, we'll be seeing newer, better hardware from the competition, and the Switch will be left in the dust.
yeah that's NEVA going to happen as long as sony and mic are around
Yea i agree there will be an upgrade but it wont come for a while. And probably wont be a upgrade but a new system.
And not saying just because those 3ds games didnt do well that it means all is doom. But its simply what happens when you do a mid level upgrade.
sega had the 32x which cause this problem. Some of nintendo 64 games needed the exp pack.
When you do all that it kills those games and either forces people to upgrade or deal with the crap.
PS4 has pro and so far it hasnt done anything. But Dev sooner or later will either make games that run fine on the pro and push it its limit while it runs half ass on the normal ps4.
Or either dev will only forces on the normal ps4 and not code for the pro which leave the pro a no buy.
So if they made a New Switch next yr that is more powerful and does 4k. Dev will either have crappy running games on the normal switch or not make games that use all of the new switch, which makes it pointless to by the new one. It splits things up.
Now if they made a home only system with more power that can run all the switch games and called it Nintendo Home.
Then you could play all your switch games like normal and then play Home only games on this new system with the more power.
That would be the same as xbox 1 with backward comp. Nintendo HOme with switch BC.
Well what the heck, nintendo 3DS has NEW 3DS and how many games are exclusive to it? Xenoblade chronicles, Binding of issac, and the new fire emblem game? THERE YOU GO
There should be more EXCLUSIVE GAMES that what make people wanna buy your consoles for it.
"i'd be fine with a slimmer switch with 4k hdr and a battery life of 12+ hours." - me in 3 years
The dock isn't what some people think it is, it seems. The dock is overpriced for what it brings to the Switch, which isn't a lot. I think the high price to buy the dock is giving people the impression it does something special. If you research what you buy, you can avoid being fooled on overpriced plastic add-ons to your gaming experience.
lol, sorry for being random, but what anime/visual novel/manga/light novel is your profile pic from?

He ain't talking about making shit on there though........
It's something random. Doesn't come from an anime or manga.
