They can, the cartridge data will just have to be encrypted. I somewhat doubt it uses it too though. Sure, it may come with 7.0 on the card but that's not the same thing. I wonder when the first SDK7 games will appear and people start complaining.I know about this but 1) I doubt Kirby uses 7.0 SDK already, the game is probably GM for a while now
2) I'm not sure games on cartridges can use this "protection".
Yoshi requiered 7.1 Firm and works on Gateway beta and MT card... so....what is the probleme with Kirby ????? !!
It appears the Japanese game has just hit the scene but I think I'll just wait till the US retail release to play it legit. Gotta savor those 1st party games properlyThis game seems really nice, can't wait to play it.
The last original hanheld kirby that I liked was squeak sqad, but unfortunately it was very easy and short,
I completed it 100% so easily it made me even a bit sad.
I hope this game is a bit longer than that, It would be good if it was also a bit harder but I think this may be way too optimistic.

The Kirby Jap release works fine on 2.0b1 (w/o emunand).
Can't wait for the legit version to come out though.
