I just need this simple information but couldn't find an exact answer anywhere else.
My analog stick broke (I'm not talking about just that external part, I'll need to change the entire piece) and everywhere that I look to buy it just say that it is for 3DS. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the normal and XL piece. Mine is a XL btw.
Just to make it clear I'm talking about this:

The original 3DS circle pad had a much more pronounced ridge than newer models. For me, this gave me a better grip on the circle pad:

I believe the old circle pad for the 3DS will work on 3DS XL.

I could do that if they were different, but from what I could see they really are the same and buying just the analog stick is cheaper than buying a circle pad.
But thanks for the help.

Too much Sm4sh? Heh.

I'm quite sure that it's his fault. xD
