And just so that I'm super-clear, what GW action erases B9S? Right now I daren't even insert the GW cartridge.

I'm running SysNAND 11.6 and EmuNAND 9.4, both via B9S/Luma3DS.

Cheers

Doing a system update will remove B9S. There is no version of the GW software that does not have this flaw.

thats not exactly how it works . . . anyway if you want to use gateway you can just use this guide [Tutorial] Using Luma3DS + Gateway on B9S

Doing a system update will remove B9S. There is no version of the GW software that does not have this flaw.. . . because gateway does not have native firm protection
fixed it

What do you mean by "Doing a system update"?
if you read the guide i linked for you you will see that gateway can only support 11.2 max so if from gateway cfw you decide to update you will remove both gateway and b9s/a9lh cfw from your console as gateway has no native firm protection

It's not what Gateway does that removes B9S, it's what it fails to do. Every CFW worth existing prevents writes to the FIRM partitions. Gateway does not. The 3DS system software can write there (usually when updating, but it can happen at other times) and that overwrites B9S.
