Hacking is there a firmware update for r4i sdhc gold pro from eachmall?

i bought the r4i sdhc gold pro from eachmall at the beginning of the year but i have not been able to get it working as yet.

i have downloaded the kernal file as instructed on the eachmall product page and extracted the files onto a microsd card. when i put the card into my nds lite, 3ds with firmware 6.3 and 3ds xl fw 4.5 i get the red menu error.

Could you post a picture of the error screen and of the sticker of the flashcard?

I've gotten some flash cards from Eachmall and the website may say it's a card from xyx but look at the url on the sticker on the cart itself. I've had some with a .in extension or slightly different URL spellings.

Go to that site and download the appropriate files. That may fix it.

I get that screen on all 3 devices. NDS Lite, 3ds fw6.3 & 3ds XL fw4.5

Download the kernel from the website printed on the bottom of the card.

You have to download the kernel in your prefered language from http://www.r4isdhc.com/2014-r4isdhc-gold-pro/ and copy the files in it to the MicroSD card.

maybe you got a clone or a mis-labled card, look at the pictures on the site and see if the correspond to your card
maybe try some of the other cards firmwares on their site

on a side not WTF why do they need to make so many god damn card for the same thing lol, no wonder the R4 (insert random words here) "branding" is becoming such a joke....snoopy version....really???

Maybe your firmware files are not on the root of the micro SD. Are they unziped and the necessary files placed on the root? Namely, not inside a folder?

I extracted the contents from the zip file to the root of the micro sd card.

I even tried the chinese rom, same error. I'm sure others have bought the same flash card, if I'm the only one asking for help on it, then I suspect I would have a faulty flash card.

aargh ok, I formatted my micro sd card with SDFORMATTER and it is now working.

i'll go back under the rock I came from... sorry guys

Well for a start it wont work on those I have highlighted if that helps you! I presume you knew that?

I've tested in on the 2 you've highlighted and both works. I haven't stuck it into the 3DSXL fw 4.5 yet.
