Gaming Is the 360 backwards compatibility region free?

I just got an Xbox One last weekend, so I'm not too familiar. We know the XBox One is region free for XBox One games. Does the One check region for 360 game, however?

As far as I'm aware, when the Xbox One plays 360 games in it's backwards compatibility mode, it plays them as if it were a region free 360 itself. So 360 games from different regions should work just fine on the Xbox One.

Depends on the game.
If the game is region free then yes.

90% of the 360's library is regionfree anyway.

It'd be pretty easy for someone reading this to find out. Buy any region locked 360 disc, of a different region from your Xbox One.
