Homebrew is my console totally bricked? still displays luma3ds screen when i put it on sd card

so i bricked my 3ds (i think) it will stay on a black screen with a blue light if luma3ds is on the consoles sd card already but if i format my sd card and reinstall luma3ds it will show luma3ds screen? can my brick be fixed or is this a known issue? cheers

Have you tried updating Luma manually?
Why did you format the SD card? That didn't do any well.
