Gaming Is It Possible To Update Games Without Updating Console?

The reason I ask is I have just Bought Bloodborne but the game on disc Version is 1.0 but since I need Internet access to download the later Game Updates I'm afraid a System Update is going to download and install in the background (I'm on FW4.50)
Is it possible to download just game updates?

No. It'll force you to update the system to install the updates. Though blocking update URLS may make it work once you purge whatever system update you've downloaded. (No idea if this is possible)

Yeah. Thats what I think would happen too..
I'll just have to wait until homebrew catches up
