Hacking IOS37 in Europe?

A friend of mine has the full update thing just before IOS37 : 3.2E wiiware under IOS36 etc. His Mario Kart never asked for update

From that and what your friend tested, it is absolutely safe for a PAL user update (or not) with Mario Kart PAL and use it. Only online update contains IOS37 for now.

On March 21st, Nintendo added a new version of the Wii firmware -- IOS37 -- to the Wii update servers. This version of the firmware has a fixed signature-checking function. This update has been released in the US and the EU, JP status is unknown.

If you are, like me, in 3.2 EU with IOS36 (from what channel remover v2 says), and if you run mario kart PAL without any modifications, will you be able to launch again trucha-modified games ?

yes, only the online update might/probably will break trucha. from the mario kart disc it's ok to update.

can you tell me how to run it?? i download the zip file
and it contains makefile , *.c and *.elf files

i updated my wii to 3.2e last week
so i am not sure if it already has ios37 or not.
but so far, it's not activate yet cos i can still run trucha moded games

Since 21 march, everybody said it : IT IS NOT ACTIVATED YET even if you have it, it has no effect.

Here we speak about the IOS37 and the Online System update (as know we know mario kart is safe).

You need to use the Twilight hack. rename the .elf to boot.elf and copy it to an SD card.
Run Zelda twhilight with the Twilight hacked save, in the game walk backward and the game will reboot and load the Boot.elf (title lister).

Oh shi- I updated to 3.2E about 3-4 days before the US IOS37 announce, might be the WiiWare one.
Well whatever, without any further update it won't hurt.

My last online update has been made on march, 20.
I've just checked the IOS versions with Title Lister. IOS37 is here.

So considering m on 3.2E (updated long time ago about 5 months),what do u advice me to do ? Update from Mariokart or online ? Whats the wiiware update ? The C64 section ? Does the Mariokart update adds that too ? What bout the Mariokart channel ? Is it safe ? Why not doing a sticky ?

P.S.
It seems that Mriokart doesnt update my wii,wonder whats the safest way now to install new WiiShop Channel features considering the Ios38 thingy.....

why are you guys claiming ios37 is not in EU even this late point in time when there's even more solid proof (with pictures !!) that it is in EU ? just because you dont have it and think wanikoko's channel remover says all it only says what ios is in use but the wii stores all the firmware. flip some pages back i dont like to make my post longer than it is thanks

lucky for you that you dont "have it" but please dont add confusion with no proof when others have went the extra mile to bring the news first

unfortunately knowing about ios37 this early was stupid, it should just be left to the guys that actually want to do homebrew and generously bring the useful patches to the rest of us


to make sure you have/dont have ios37, use title lister like cyan and vv_ did !

did update today infact and with lister i have got the ios37
