Gaming Intel or AMD?

Depends on what you're doing. If you're building a cheap computer that's a good bang for the buck, AMD. If you're building a hackintosh/literally anything else, then Intel

I'm mostly an AMD guy, both of my gaming rigs uses Phenom II X6 CPU's. The rig i'm building for a friend has an AMD FX-6800 and the rig i'm building for my sister has a Phenom II X4
I have to admit the Phenoms are total bargains price wise, great for average users, especially when you know the end user will not use programs that are processor specific.

Like most said, it depends on what I'm putting it in.

Gaming/high performance rigs, I'd probably always choose Intel. They simply perform better than AMD's comparable models, period. But for any low budget/basic rig I'd probably choose AMD, purely because they make great budget CPUs, especially when you want to save as much money as possible and invest it in something else.
