Hacking If I updated in GW Mode because I am an idiot, am I bricked?

I am so stupid. I just updated my GW card and made sure it ran, then tried to update to 11.x without booting back to SysNAND.

Am I screwed?

As long as sysnand is 9.2 you're fine.

No. I had AL9H installed. No EmuNAND.

I was booting Gateway just to make sure the launcher.dat worked. I forgot to reset my console back to AL9H instead of GW mode and updated then.

Black Screen. Luma config won't load.

Recovery mode (L+R+A+Up) doesn't do anything either.

Even if he does, not like he can do much without a hardmod or perhaps if he ships it to Ninty, then use DSiWareHax to apply the NAND backup once the 3DS works again?

I can install the hardmod...

If Nintendo has the slightest insight yet, they would be checking the cause off all the bricks. Hell Microsoft did it years ago with the 360.

he would be fine with even just a temp nand mod and unbrick off one of our wonderful resident modders

Nintendo doesn't really care, do they? If they did, they wouldn't have allowed RXTools to live as long as it did, and they'd patched hardmod/DSiWareHax downgrading.

its one thing leaving people to do whatever they want at home, but when those people start expecting you to replace stuff they broke by doing it they would almost certainly prefer to tell you to f off or pay for the repair

I'm pretty sure they'll make the user pay for it anyway, unless it is under warranty.

you void your warranty by running unsigned code, and from what i have heard nintendo's repair costs are make it pretty much cheaper to by a replacement console

Which is why I said - for those who don't have warranty anymore, it doesn't matter anyway.

just one thing: even if they didn't have one, if they had the console's OTP, it could probably still be saved (re-encrypting the key sector with the proper key1 so the console boots again).
