ESSENTIALS: iDEVICE APPS
It's been long since overdue. An essential list of apps for all your iDevices (meaning iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad).
Some rules, first and foremost.
- This is not a topic to flame Apple. If you go here saying "-1 to all cuz apple sux" then I'll take the liberty of reporting your post and fetching you a nice warning increase, or at least a general feeling of disrespect from our mod staff. We've got a forum for trolling others, it's called NOWHERE. Or EoF. Or Blogs.
- Don't list stupid apps. Apps should be ones that are useful or endearingly entertaining. Useless "one trick pony" apps are not allowed and I will not bother adding them. There's no point at having an app on the list that does nothing but play a joke on your friends or make a fart noise. Try to make them useful.
- No apps that would interfere with the rules. This means nothing relating to porn, warez, etc.
- Only App Store apps allowed. This means only things you could purchase off the App Store. No apps from Cydia or the like are allowed. If you want to bitch about this then be useful and make an essentials list for Cydia apps and iDevice homebrew. We could use that too.
- If an app only works on some devices, tell me. Some apps will only run on iPhones and iPads, some will only run on iPads. If an app is limited to working on certain platforms then put that info in your post. If it works across all platforms then you don't need to specify.
- There are -1's. I'm putting -1's here since it is about games. For the Freeware one I didn't since all that stuff was legally free so there's no reason to bash something you're not spending a buck on. While you may piratesome all your apps, please keep in mind we're at least pretending people would spend their cash on games based on this list.
- Don't +1 or -1 automatically installed apps. Apps like the iTunes Store, App Store, and Youtube Apps come pre-installed and cannot be removed (well, unless you do some type of unofficial modification). There's no point +1'ing or -1'ing them.
- Pretty standard but only +1/-1 iDevice apps. No Android apps or the like. I don't have anything against them but if we just did [Essentials] Apps altogether, it would get hectic. You can do an [Essentials] Android Apps if you want though.
- As always, keep in line with the Forum rules. Don't list warez or ask for it in particular.

Also, sort your app into its respective category under the App Store. If you're +1'ing or -1'ing something, post like this. You can also add a hotlink to the iTunes Store page for that app if you want but it's not necessary. You'll only score brownie points with me. If you're wondering, the App Store categories are...
