i really do wish that Nintendo would go to the PS3 business model though, and sell their systems at a loss
not so much because i do not want to pay more for the hardware but because it drives them and gives them a greater incentive to make more and better software not the usual make 3 or 4 great titles and then abandon the hardware Nintendo business model as of late

instead of being like ok we made all our money off of the console hardware and a few good launch titles now lets get to making some new hardware so we can cash in again and repeat the whole process all over again

they would have to be more focused on making good software

Pretty much exactly what I expected. I'd say it's fair, but we don't really know much about specs or performance at this time, so calling it fair now seems like jumping the gun. Unless that sputtering framerate we saw in the trailer when Breath of the Wild was played in portable mode turns out to be an issue that shows up in the final product, I'd gladly pay ~$330 for a Switch.

I already preordered it, so I think it's accurate.

All that means is that it shouldn't be MORE expensive. If it retails for cheaper, they reduce the amount they charge your credit card for. that's pretty much standard procedure with unknown retail prices. Usually there's a 30% buffer or so, so it seems they are anticipating $250USD but preparing for $300USD.

I'm so tired of Nintendo playing it "safe" or "good enough". This needs to be strong for 3rd party to want to develop for it.

Still 300 would be to much after the Wii and Wii U which were kind of bad at least in my opinion ...

If they want to sell it for that price I hope they at least add one or two good games like adding Zelda or something like this than the price would be really good I guess
