I literally just posted a link a few comments up. I don't have time to add the link to the OP at the moment; should be able to in a few hours.

hi guys. sorry to have made an account just to ask for help, but here I am. the attached screenshot demonstrates my frustrations... following the guide perfectly does not net success, so i added the make file from gnu32, then it asked for a dll, which i also added in, then another, and the code worked properly for the image.c conversion... but now it doesnt again, and the make command says it can't find the files that are exactly where it's looking for them. please sweet jesus help me. i've dumped about 7 hours into trying to get this to work over 3 days. using a pi, and windows, with the docker thing, and nothing works.

Hmmm, try copying everything over 1 directory back so it's in /draw/LUFA/Build instead of /draw/LUFA/LUFA/Build, and edit the makefile to make sure the LUFA path is correct

did you know windows doesn't use /'s? we use \'s... now its looking for grep... so on to the next hurdle. THANKS. didn't even consider editing the makefile... file.

edit: lol nope it's all broken again. time for sleep though, so I guess i'll try again from scratch tomorrow.

Sorry, I always get that mixed up haha. Whenever I use /s it just accepts it, even tho it's technically incorrect.

I'm using the atmega32u4 repo and I get this error when compiling http://prntscr.com/g9giz4 . I edited the makefile and everything seems to be installed correctly.

You could give the original repo a shot if the alternate one doesn't work. Some people seem to have it work while others can't get it running

I think you need a space in the python command between > and image.c.

Yep. Won't create the image.c file properly without it.

When I try the other version I get the error where it can't find any of the LUFA files. How did that other person fix that?

Not sure if they fixed it yet. You might need to edit the makefile to specify the path properly, making sure the path uses \s and not /s in between directories

I fixed the path. I even tried it with forward slashes and with back slashes. It still says it can't find them.

Hmm, weird. Can you take a screenshot of the main directory as well as what's inside the LUFA folder so I can compare it with mine?

Are you sure? All that's in there is this. http://prntscr.com/g9hixk I'll try it. It seems like the compiler still should've been able to find those files I pointed it to.

Alright, change "..\LUFA" to ".\LUFA" and try again. Also don't forget to change at90usb1286 to atmega32u4 if you're using one
