I think it's funny when people don't trim their ROMs... I trim my ROMs myself, even GB and GBC ROMs. It makes a difference in the small amount of space you get on a 32MB NOR flash. I can usually squeeze in 3 or 4 more ROMs thanks to the extra waste being trimmed off. I shaved a few gigabytes of room off of my DS ROM collection by trimming. They all load fine from my emulators and flash carts, so I don't see why more people don't trim their ROMs. Complaining that Pokemon Black and White is 512MB (When trimmed, is only 280MB) is just plain stupidity on their part.

If you converted it down to 192X256 (DS resolution) the space it would take up could be reduced by about a factor of 4.

Really though, by the time you'd have 2TB micro SDXC cards, you would probably have 3DS ROMs on it, which apparently will reach 8GB. Given that ROM size seems to go up over the lifetime of a system, and assuming the 3DS continues to be successful, I imagine the full set of 3DS ROMs will exceed 2TB.

    Inside you, all around you
after formating does this still work on a 3DS to download and store games from the eshop?

I apologize for bringing up this really old thread. I just wanted to point out that I use my black Wii (2009 model I guess) with Sandisk 32GB microSDHC with SD adapter. I haven't had any problems with loading wbfs files from this FAT32 formatted card.

Very interesting. I am confused though. Because in this Wii tutorial https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...wii-gamecube-and-wiiware-games.360687/page-20 , people said only 2GB is sufficient for Wii?! Am I missing something?
