The Emulators are complelety free though. At least in terms to all of the ones you can sideload for developer mode. And to be honest it's not bad, it's just a one time fee that you never have to pay again. You pay 3x as much for a year of Xbox Live subscription.

Thanks for the guide, I will try in a few minutes and I will let you know . At least for me, $20 for the Dev is not a bad deal. This is the beggining of homebrew, I can imagine other apps coming up later.

PS. Last week I just downloaded FreeMovie@HD. Is like netflix but free. I'm thinking that it use the same format as Popcorn time. Is in the Store, under apps.

This really is the start of the homebrew scene for the Xbox One and I'm very excited about where we go from here. :D Also FreeMovie@HD is a good one for shows I like it quite a lot.

No you still get to keep all of your games and applications. If you do end up getting dev mode make sure and when you wanna switch back to "Retail Mode" that you deselect the option that says "Delete Sideloaded apps". You'll obviosuly want to keep all of your hombrew and emulators

Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance. All Games I've tested so far with it run flawlessly

    Does DevMode cost money now?
It was supposed to be free! (I know i didn't pay anything, i am an however an Xbox community ambassador and in the tech preview but doubt that changes anything)
    Did they change anything else?

Dev Mode to me did not seem worth it, AFAIK it blocks achievements and access to Xbox live taking away the core features of your console.
It takes time to activate and deactivate Devmode if i remember correctly.
You only get a limited number of activations so de-activating to use live/acheivements and re-activating uses another activation if i read correctly.
it therefore seems like a very expensive way to play retro games. you can probably get a raspberry pi for cheaper than $20 in the USA?
Retropie, Lakka or something on a Pi is probably a better alternative than crippling your Xbox One?
