Is it possible to dump a 3DS rom with the use of the DS backup tool?
i heard yes you can (at least the saves you can)
but you need a way to insert them on a DS\ds lite
like saw the 3ds cartridge numb, or make a hole on the console....
if you have resources you can also make a bridge\adapter to connect it...
the dsi and 3ds power down the DS slot once you remove a card (this is the reason you can't use theese tools with a dsi\3ds...)
That would be amazing if it's possible to dump just the ROM to get the header. Can anyone confirm this?
but i am not really sure, in 3ds brew website (i think i read it there) it says the 3ds cards operate at a double frequency... i am not sure if that means something...
and besides, this tool is old... not sure how it was done, but can't be programmed for accept roms too large\diferent
Well guy's after a long time, they is a new wooddumper r89 , this will backup you're DS/DSI games correctly, Now will backup the "DSI pacific enhanced data" .
Wifi and Slot2 .
did ya made it? if you are the person behind it, this deserves a own thread, and upload it on filetrip so it stays "secured" and not loose like this
It's just a DS (not 3DS) game dumper, useless on both ds and 3ds to dump any 3ds rom.
No I did not make it, how ever one of the guy's did at http://forums.no-intro.org/
z.g posted it, he maybe , hidden topic at that place unless member .
Yes it dose , can someone make it ?, my eye site not as once was , bleeding behind eye until opration .
Rudolph tools makes the job, but they are kinda outdated and i had a hard time to make them work..
there is another dumper that is only for saves (which was made mainly for pokemon) which is kinda meh.., i would love to dump roms too
i am gonna test this, i hope this one is cool
It's just dumps the DSI games into Proper's with Dsi enhanced data at the end of the ROM is correct , rather then under dump one .
Then all the DSI Features can be used vr a DSI console and flashcard .
Sorry to ask a stupid question in a thread that hasn't been posted in for a couple of months but has a solution been found to dump retail DS saves with a DSi using a slot 1 cart (In my case Acekard 2i)
I am not aware of any developments in DSi save dumping, however the DSi was recently hacked quite extensively ( http://gbatemp.net/threads/release-twltool-dsi-downgrading-save-injection-etc-multitool.393488/ ) so you might see something at some point in the future. There is certainly more hope for something anyway.
Has anyone actually tested the DS Lite for 3DS ROM dumping? I just peeled away at the cartridge port of my broken DS Lite for about an hour, and NDS Backup Tool 3in1 says it doesn't recognize the cartridge.
Actually this is interesting, following.
DSiWare dumping is easy if you have it on a DSi:
Download dsi_srl_extract to a Windows PC.
Move your DSiWare to an SD Card via Data Management in System Settings on your DSi.
Put your SD Card into a Windows computer.
Copy the .bins in X:\private\ds\title\ on the SD Card into the folder with dsi_srl_extract
Preserve it somehow
To dump NAND titles on a DSi you need a hardware mod to dump your NAND and TWLTool.
To dump DSiWare on a 3DS you need to use rxtools and decrypt9.
I can't get my Chrono Trigger cartridge to back up :c
I'm using the NDS ftp wifi method
Are you sure it's legit? I have a fake copy of Pokémon here and no app recognizes it or its save file
yeah i got it to work eventually lol
Having some issues with the WiFi dumper. I'm using an original R4, and all it wants to do is tell me the secure area check failed, or hang when it states 'Connecting via WFC' or something like that. Any ideas?
U can dump some DS games with a hacked 3DS
I use this to dump and inject saves from my 4/5th gen pokemon games
