I'm pretty far in now. Probably 60-90 hours and I love the game and can't put it down. In my opinion it just what I wanted in an RPG and it exceeded my expectations.
I haven't been able to put many hours into it, perhaps just above 10 hours, but it is looking very good so far. I really like it also.
After 75 hours i fight against ganon. Big mistake. It was really easy, but it killed a little bit the joy to play further. The only thing is know left todo is get 100%
But even since i started just to complete everything know, there are so many things left to discover.
I really love this game. Long time since i said that about a game.
This game made me feel like the (old)teenage I was when Ocarina Of Time was released.
Great epic adventure in a huge world (yes, Ocarina Of Time was huge back in '98).
I've never felt like this since, like I was waiting this Zelda game for 17 years.
Thank you Nintendo
I love the game but I should had waited a bit longer to beat Gannon. It killed the incentive to continue playing the game. I still play it and found more cool stuff to do and its still fun but now it's just a waiting game to get the dlc and unlock the hard mode for a new challenge.
A solid 4.5/5.
The game's absolutely fantastic but has some flaws like.. terrible framerate, breakable weapons/shields and loading times could have been a lot faster (it's a cartridge system so it should have been!).
The game is absolutely amazing, my favorite since OoT (Other than TP, only cause I liked plating as Wolf Link)
I think it's excellent, but definitely not perfect. It isn't nearly my favorite Zelda but was very fun to play.
I will say the same thing i been saying. This game isn't bad but it i feel it shouldn't be called legend of zelda. Had it simply been titled breath of the wild with original characters and story not related to legend of zelda series, there would be less controversy with the game. That is to say i would still play it as a unrelated game but not what i wanted in a zelda game. Again i am not saying the game is bad or awful, but i can't find how this kind of game fits for zelda game.
This would been perfect as a adventure time game or maybe even a possible open world metroid game with multiple planets to explore or even one huge one. Just some other ideas.
i can't say it's perfect, but i can't think of a single thing about it that bothered me. it just felt like something was missing...
that said, my entire 40-50 hour journey to ganon was incredibly fun. it's tied with wind waker hd for my favorite zelda
This one is pretty addicting. Then again I just mosey around just to see what I can see and get what I can get.
guys who voted terrible, below average and average
i know who you are
salty ps4 fanboy or xboner
botw is awesome, nothing less
Love it. People complain about the weapon breaking, but I think you'd find it'd be a pretty different experience if they didn't break, or didn't break nearly so easily.
I do wish there was a bit more variations in terrain. It's just water, mountains, or plateaus. Some ice, some sand, some grass. There isn't any really interesting topography, no weird caves, nothing like that. The puzzle places and the lost woods are good attempts, but that's about three or four areas, really. Oh, and that particular places' hideout and the castle are fun to explore. I wanted more of those.
7/10 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
(I am actually buying the game this weekend, I am just having some fun)
For what it is? It's great. However, the breakable weapons, shrine hunting and unscaled difficulty make it a bit meh for me.
It's pretty immersive in my opinion. You should check it out. Played it on the Wii U as I think there's still no point in getting a Switch this early.
It's pretty A-O-Tolerable so far from what I've played. Looking forward to when I can make more time for it.
I love it. It's not without its flaws, but then again is anything ever perfect?
I wish it had a few more (and longer) dungeons with an unique theme, unique equipment like the hookshot, and that weapons had 2x the durability.
It could use some more towns scattered around as well to keep the world from being so empty looking.
Despite all the flaws I haven't been this hooked on a Zelda game since I was a kid.
