Port a good fps game to Wii. Something good like Counter Strike 1.6.

Or, just do what the guy above said. Make a 2d platformer.

a in game mp3 player that could be opened from anywhere on the wii
that would be opened in a popup menu with a button combination like 'home' and '-'
that would have basic play, pause, skip, format
with playlists
that could read from either the Sd card or a usb device

That would be amazing

@DunkrWunkah we have wii doom and doom2 is nothing but an addon of sorts for doom (same engine different wad*:

That being said a few ports are probably a good thing, you say you have a team but the kind of reputation a few successful ports will garner is a great add for attracting artists and level designers.

Failing that a sort of unified frontend to emulators is a potentially good idea (it works really well on the xbox and various mame spinoffs gather a great deal of attention despite being little more than frontends).

*for others reading wad is also a file format for doom and nothing to do with the wad used by in wii circles.

Make counter strike!

In all seriousness, it'd be cool if we had an app that installed system menu themes easily, could download them from the internet, works on all wiis.

) i would most like to see a counter strike port though as it is a great Online FPS which i haven't had the pleasure of playing a lot of.

I doubt Counter Strike will ever be ported on homebrew when the sourcecode is certainly not available and is still Valve property.

Movie Manager/Player that does cover art (similar to how the USB Loaders do coverart).

Multiple viewing options:
- list view
- list view with one preview pane (for covers)
- cover only view (resizable grid like "Configurable USB Loader" or like "Coverflow")
- play at least AVI, and also if possible MP4, WMV, MKV, and MOV...
- ability to read off of SD/USB
- theme options are always nice (customizable)

I suggest this as most of the pieces are already available in the scene, they just need to be reconstructed together for this particular media. Best media players right now are GeeXBox and MPlayer CE.

GeeXBox Player + Coverflow = Easily the best media player available!

also gonna install twilight menu in my r4 flashcard

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
