I think the main reason they hid this setting is that because there might be people out there (kids) who do not know what the setting itself means and they then might get rants about it.
Ohh that i have no ideano, you didn't understand what i meant... i meant, how did the first person learned about this trick? did that person was randomly pushing buttons?
Parental Control. It's there to be used.I think the main reason they hid this setting is that because there might be people out there (kids) who do not know what the setting itself means and they then might get rants about it.

I'm surprised that Nintendo actually lets users format the Wii U without it being hidden because we know how much Nintendo cares about them kids.
Unlikely; what Nintendo software for the Wii uses an HDD? (Dragon Quest uses a flash drive) (and I think some CIOS already do random disk access every 10 minutes - though of course reconfiguring the HDD on a PC is better, if supported by your disk)Will this method disable HDD sleep in vWii mode?
How do I do that?reconfiguring the HDD on a PC is better, if supported by your disk
Some (like the infamous WD greens) have dedicated software, with most others you can use hdparm in Linux (with a supported interface - many older IDE/SATA to USB kits don't pass the appropriate command through; and whether the setting sticks after unplugging it is up to the disk's manufacturer)How do I do that?
