Not really, its still unknown what happens if he installed a korean system menu, seeing he changed his Wii to european (which means the update might've installed a european system menu and corrupted his system menu)
He's talking about the Homebrew Channel screen, I doubt that the System Menu would have any relevance at all here. He should just put some applications in the Apps folder on the SD card and see if they pop up.

p.s i dont have any "app " folder because the priiloader wont read the folder ..
it says something about that theres no data in the root of the sd card... so i just put the files on the in the sd card then he reads the files

I suggest grabbing ModMii for windows and preparing a guide to install your previous firmware. I'm not a 100% sure what Korean Wii's should be running, so I'll hail JoostinOnline, he should be able to better assist you in your predicament. The good news is that you have successfuly installed Homebrew Channel and that WAD managers are working - this means your Wii is probably salvagable.

Indeed. Different versions of HBC were stored on different slots IIRC, that's why older PriiLoaders/Preloaders can't find newer revisions. No biggie - it's there and it's definitely working.

I saw you can run SysCheck, but we need a full report. Follow the guide in my signature to see how to properly post one.

If you want to run the HBC, use this. The reason it won't run is because you are using the original preloader.

Okay, you're so f*cking lucky that you don't have a full brick right now. It would appear you have DarkCorp/cIOSCorp installed on your Wii, which means IOS60 patched into slot 70.

Go into settings on Preloader and set it to auto-boot the System Menu, then restart.

Okay, I think that's a problem with the original preloader. Here is what you need to do:
  1. Download preloader v3.0, name the dol boot.dol, and put it in apps\preloader\
  2. Download Priiloader v0.7 LULZ Mod and put it on your SD card as well (the directory is already set up)
  3. Launch the Homebrew Channel (using the dol I gave you earlier) and run the preloader installer. It won't have an icon or description.
  4. Uninstall preloader. DO NOT EXIT THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL
  5. Run the Priiloader installer and install it using IOS249.
  6. If anything goes wrong, report it.

Forgive for the intrusion, but perhaps this would be a good time to make a NAND backup just in case he does exit the Homebrew Channel (which he absolutely should not do) and utterly destroys his Wii, leaving no chance to revivie it? :P

Yes. The directory is already set up so it should merge with your current apps folder.

after i go into the hbc iclick on preloader then "load" then the installer opened and, when i clicked " - ", it says "failed to get root aborting mission"

what should i do...

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
