I completely disagree! Hard plastic is much better than coated plastic. Coating will always have problems lifting off the surface, burnishing, and scratching based on the quality.

I think it was a bad way to cut costs to coat the plastic on the joycons. Controllers should be solid coloured plastic like the pro controller and PS Dualshock 4 controller.

On a side note I would like to say the buttons are of great quality for the joycons. Having the letters in the buttons plastic molding making it so the letters don't rub off.

WD40 works great on acrylic which is probably way sketchier than what the switch is made of. Try that on an inconspicuous spot and see. If it doesn't work right away let it sit for a while like over night.

You could also try Vinegar.

i was about to suggest it. WD40 works great, use it on a smooth piece of cloth and then rub this weird line
