Gaming Has anyone reached level 20 in Splatoon, wanna ask something

After getting to level 20 you unlock the ability to add more slots to equipment and rerolling in case you dont like whats applied. It costs 30k coins to add one slots to reroll, it takes a bit of time to get 30k coins so I wanna know if theres some way to backup your gamesave and restore it in case you get a reroll you arent too happy with. Is this possible at all?

Actually you can try to move your save to an external drive & make it's full partition dump on a PC using something like the Partition Magic or the Acronis True Image. But it's a too complicated & time consuming procedure so i'm sure it doesn't worth of a try. And no, you can't dump a single save as it's stored in an encrypted partition.

OP, if you do want to try to make a full partition dump, use what oji said. Try it with a VC game first so you don't lose hours of progress in Splatoon.

No it doesn't needed to be hacked. Attach any supported drive to an USB port, format it in the Wii U OS. Use system menu to copy your Splatoon's save data to this drive. Turn off your Wii U, attach this HDD to a PC & use any partition tool to dump your newly created Wii U's partition. After that you can (try to) restore this copy to the same drive.

As Sheimi said, it's better to test this procedure with any non important data as it's possible to loose all your data on this specific drive.

Use a very small USB device, e.g. a 1GB USB stick.
That way the partition you will need to completely dump will also be small.
Are you using Windows, Linux or Mac OS?
If you are using Linux or MacOS, just dd your whole USB stick to a file, and later restore the file to the USB stick with dd also. It should work that way.

I use a Windows 7 PC.

How soon will the Wii U be homebrewed for cheating? It would be much easier to just edit the abilities on the equips than having to restore/delete data. Less time consuming too which is the main goal of what I'm trying to achieve here.
