I generally prefer hardware, though I do enjoy Dolphin's ability to up the resolution. If I am emulating, it's nice to have original controllers. I've got Wii controllers through bluetooth and gamecube through a USB adapter. I had built an adaptor for SNES controllers back in the day, but it used the parallel port that you don't tend to find on computers anymore :(. I need to start making my own USB adaptors in the future when I've settle down here.

If I can up the resolution successfully.. emulation *at least right now with my steam link letting me play on the large screen TV* I dislike the hardware method if only cause the older consoles don't have easy connections to modern TVs.

Original hardware for he nostalgia value. Also the original controllers are easier than mapping a PS3 one.

Emulation for the price and features like recording and states.

Original hardware.
I don't have problems with emulation tho.
I mean, I prefer speedrunning GTA SA on the 360 as the controller is far better.
Granted, I'll run into bugs and glitches more often then on the original Xbox.
