Hacking Hacking options for a true debug PS3

What options exist for hacking a debug PS3? I have a backward-compatible actual Debugging Station (DECH-A00A).

I've heard that it's possible to play Blu-Ray movies on DEX firmware now, but I don't know whether that applies to Debugging Stations.

I can disable HDCP on this system, right?

I'd honestly get a normal PS3 and hack that one.
Debug hardware is a bit to valuable to be fucked around with.

i know this is a old thread, please forgive me for replying to it. you can get quite a bit of money by selling the debug unit as long as everything works.
