update xml looks like this when I updated manually a while back:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<update_data_list>
<region id="us">
<np level0_system_version="03.600.000" level1_system_version="03.600.000" level2_system_version="03.600.000" map="03.600.000" />
<np_d level0_system_version="03.600.000" level1_system_version="03.600.000" level2_system_version="03.600.000" map="03.600.000" />
<version system_version="03.600.000" label="3.60">
<update_data update_type="full">
<image size="0">http://www.example.com/PSP2UPDAT.PUP</image>
</update_data>
</version>
</region>
</update_data_list>

Okay, so I'm taking a look at that post again, and I realized I overlooked his comment of him not being able to use DNS in the first place. I am very blind sometimes! :P

@hitosura999 You should try using regaular CMA if you are going to use the manual method, as I encountered pretty much nothing but errors trying to use QCMA the other day when trying to reinstall 3.60 on my own Vita.
Might also be useful knowing what your psp2-updatelist file looks like.

It's probably a last resort to use regular CMA anyways though, as I've seen people use QCMA before for the method, and it successfully worked.

that's odd. the only issue(s) I've had with qcma is it not detecting the usb connection. that was/is frustrating. I had to reinstall qcma to correct it. and, this was when I was in IDU mode after having my wifi deleted to be as safe as possible. I don't recall having issues when updating to 3.60 though considering. 3.61 or 3.63 was out at the time, so I was forced to use the cma method or qcma method rather.

(I changed it to "jp" for you)

Maybe you should try updating through recovery mode if updating through System Settings isn't working for you.

I'm rather against helping in private since it could be useful for other people with the same issue, but I do have Discord in case you really do want to just talk in private about it.

Note that you can also just share your settings images here by just dragging and dropping the image into the reply box.

have u tried another vpk? that's a general error code I believe as it's not specific. if it's happening when installing the vpk, then there's probably something wrong with the vpk. it doesn't happen with other vpk files, does it? and, it doesn't crash vita shell?

I got that vpk from the guys themselves. I used qcma to transfer it. I made it into a mp4 then transfered it directly to the Vita and renamed it back once I copied it.

maybe try just using normal ftp from within vita shell? something may have gone wrong with the transfer.
I don't know how to do a normal ftp within Vita shell that's the problem. I'm a noob when it comes to using these programs. And I even have Filezilla

u have to press select while in vita shell.
I do & I then press ok but it doesn't work 99% of the time. I'm using the 1 that's pre installed.. trying to load the new 1 or at least acount switcher before I do anything major since I need to swap accountso before I do anything else

I have molecular Shell 1.43 that was installed & I do press select bit I don't always see the folders when connected to my laptop. The video, music, folders etc. I don't see so I can't copy or install 99% of the time with qcma. Im going to watch a tutorial on YouTube to help me out with filezilla

press start and choose allow unsafe homebrew or whatever it's called. it's "unsafe" something. this will allow u to see all folders and all partitions.
