Dont waste your money on a large capacity hard drive, because that limitation of 292 titles, you will never reach 2TB. That limitation is absurd, because there is no limitation on saving backups on wii hard drive!

Yeah. But people rarely talk about it or bring it up because not many people even get close to the title limit.

What's the point of step 2b in the installing haxchi part?

Why should people launch browserhax first (which has low chance of success and might be frustrating to do) only to quit and then go to step 3?

I know it's necessary for 5.5.1 to patch eshop first, but not for 5.5.2.

I'm installing Haxchi and it's been on "doing IOSU exploit" for a while now. Is that normal or do I restart and try again?

My Wii U has haxchi and mocha cfw and I haven't touched it in a long time. I'm on 5.5.1.

If I were to update to 5.5.2 would I need to reinstall haxchi? Or would it carry over?

It will carry over. Why are using Mocha? You have HaxChi CFW. Just wondering if there is some special reason you're using Mocha

I've seen a few people using them both because Haxchi doesn't support SaveMii for some reason, at least it doesn't work for most people that run Haxchi. So they install mocha and run mocha instead of Haxchi, so they can manage thier saved games.

I don't know why they just don't use Saviine to be honest. It works 100% of the time for me.

However, I don't know why that person is using both Haxchi and mocha.

For some reason Haxchi CFW doesn't patch a few apps/homebrews. FTPii everywhere comes to mind, whereas the normal version of FTPii works with haxchi. I always have to launch mocha before FTPii everywhere.

Just curious, afaik in the 3ds scene, every CFW has signature patch for all apps. Why is it different in the Wii U scene, where there are apps that haxchi does not patch?

If it's just HaxChi and not CBHC too you can just format the Wii U side. The vWii side just delete the HBChannel

Then for the love don't format yet! You'll brick.

Start out by going into HBL and run the CBHC installer again. Then choose the uninstall option. After CBHC is fully uninstalled make sure by cold booting your Wii U and watch the gamepad. Make sure that no text shows up on the screen before you see the Wii U system menu. Once CBHC is gone you can simply format.
