Hey! I have a unique situation..
Forgive me Im really noob when it comes to xbox
First off my Xbox 360 is a Jasper according to your guide.
I had it flashed by a guy a few years back.. about 2009 when I got it. Unfortunately I dont have the drive keys and stuff. He just flashed it with the Firmware that.. the one where I can use a boot disc to bypass wave differences..
All was well until came Street Fighter Vs Tekken.. When I tried to play it it asked me for an update, then the noob in me pressed "yes"..
I then removed the DVD from the drive to prevent the update but everytime I turn it on it asks to update.. so I just let it update..
And voila..my "flashed drive" was gone. It doesnt read back ups anymore.. but it still reads games I bought from the store.
So yeaaah TL

All I wanna know is.. what would be the way to get it flashed again? Ive been reading guides and honestly they are confusing. Ive been looking into just buying an Xkey but that requires that I have my drive key right? soo.. yeah.

Well.
However you want to look at it, your 360 will need to be opened up again.
If you choose to flash it or Xkey it then ask the "modder" to give you a backup of your DVD key.
You can also RGH it (if it's on 14719 or lower) but the boottime might take a minute or 2 to boot to a dash.
If you want to reflash it yourself then download Jungleflasher and purchase a X360 USB Pro v2 and a Probe 3.
The Jungleflasher manual will have a detailed way on how to flash your DVD drive.

So read the JF manual carefully ;]

If you got a non vulnerable CB, then you can't JTAG it.
Chances of that in an old 360 are low, if your previous dash was in the Blades one.

The faceplate deattaches and can be replaced.
Infact MS encouraged it and offered a wide variety of different faceplates ;]
But yeh, take the faceplate off and you might be able to reattach the spring, or get a new front ;]

Hi everyone, just bought a new Slim X360 (with 3 months gold Live subscription, Crysis 2 download and DVD of Forza 3). It's currently on dash 13146 (not planning on using Live and updating), so I'm going to get it freebooted (not doing it myself, a local console repairer does it for around 100$).
Is there any easy way to know whether my console supports RGH ver. 1 (important for me)? Or is the dash number all I need here?

Doesn't matter anymore.
All dashes are hackable for both Slims and Phats.
Slims use the RGH2 method anyway.

I have a "Phat" [Elite] updated to the latest dash and version of XBL.
So let me get this straight...
-I CAN hack my 360
-Hacking my 360 will ban me from XBL no matter what
-RGH2 is the same as RGH1
-Flashing is for DVDs, RGH1 and 2 is homebrew only

Alright here's what I learned.
I'm on dash 16203.
I have a Jasper V2 [Says 2009 on a sticker above it]
My DVD Hole has Yellow Wires.
This means I have a Philips Lite-On... I noticed it's RED in the picture.
Does this mean I am going to be limited in terms of such?
Also, is there any way to host private matches using a RGH2 on games like "MW2"
while injecting GSCs? [ff patches]

It's a systemlinking Online service that's kinda similar to XBLive.
With a RGH console, you can't ever connect to Microsofts XBLive tho.
If you don't want to lose XBLive then I suggest flashing the DVD drive or get an ODDE.
You won't be able to play hacked games/homebrew tho.
It all comes down to you.
Do you want limited online capabilities (only systemlinking) or do you want XBLive?

hi im new to xbox but i came from the wii i used to hack and mod on the wii and i also have a gecko s.e to make codes and what not but i would like to learn how to mod and hack on the xbox!!! please someone help me out i want to make sure im modding like a boss thats why im here!!!
JTAG/RGH an xbox and modify launcher xex's with some tools.
