I remember when I was 11 years old, my dad set up parental controls, and I randomly cracked the PIN by about 50 guesses, lol! :rofl2:
The pin was 1888!

Just start at 0000 and go up to 9999. If you're this desperate to get into your parental controls, you definitely have the time.

3dsexplorer has a pin calculator that usually works (if your enquiry number has 8 digits)

What do I do once I have the 5 digit code at the bottom? Is there another tool that converts this into the pin?

Does that work on a Wii-U on the latest firmware?
Yes I can confirm it for 10.7 also

The current list is:

  • 3DS 1.0.0 -> 6.3.0: all regions (old algorithm)
  • 3DS 7.0.0 -> 7.1.0: USA, EUR, JPN
  • 3DS 7.2.0 -> 10.7.0: all regions
  • 3DS "8.1.2" (key 13): USA, EUR (seemingly distributed only with not-for-sale Smash demo-carts?)
  • Wii U 1.0.0 -> 4.1.0: all regions (old algorithm)
  • Wii U 5.0.0 -> 5.5.1: all regions

Seems like a whole lot of people were breaking their 3DSes with parental control pins. :)
Im hoping its all it is, I purchased another 3DS off ebay, the seller said it was left on and the screen was black when they came back, so it come in today, i opened it up, low and behold it had been opened and parts were missing. And the actual problem was the screen popping issue. The dumb asses had turned it on so many times it fried both the ribbon cable and the motherboard.
