Everytime I boot up it says the filesystem is corrupt and needs to be restored, it does that then restarts and does it again . Any ideas? Hoping its HDD related and I can just format it or something but if theres a way to do that without losing my hdd content then that'd be great

I don't know much about PS3, but it sounds like the HDD could be going bad. You should probably backup your data to an external or something if possible. You could then try reformatting the drive, but if the issue persists after that you probably need a new drive.
