I can save GBA games just fine pressing L+R+SELECT+A but cannot keep any save data for GB/GBC games, how do you save with these games?

would love to be able to play these old games as well as GBA ones. (without using my PSP with Emus)

Here's the solution given by someone on Baidu:

You need a 64kB save file of any GBA game (Or you can find one in the directory of Supercard software, named "save.sav"), then rename it to the same as the rom.
For example: Zelda.gbc and Zelda.sav

Copy both of the files to your SD card. When you want to save, follow these steps:
1.Save in the game as you normally do
2.Press L+R, then select "Save State"
3.Press L+R+SELECT+A, that's the normal saving method of Supercard.
