Hacking Good Place for 3.55 PS3s?

Wondering if there is any place I can get PS3s with 3.55 ofw from with a good warranty or if I should just stick with 30 day ebay warranties and hope for the best? And I should probably spring a bit extra for a slim if I'm worried about it being less likely to break?

And since I don't want to make a separate thread for this, is there some compatibility list for backup loaders or does pretty much everything work nowadays? Thanks in advance

Pretty much everything works if you're on the latest CFW.
If a slim is available and you don't care much about PS2 games, a slim is the best bet.

You're unlikely to get a warranty no matter where you go - as far as eBay goes, you'll only get money back if the unit is flat out not working - as they have to be listed as OFW 3.55 and not CFW due to it enabling piracy.
