I'm sure there's already a Genesis Plus GX thread, but it seems like it would be a bit of a necro to bump it. Judging by posts here, it seems like many people don't even realise that there are official SVN builds later than the official release.

r936
"[Core/SCD] disable access to mirrored areas of PRG-RAM as well when SUB-CPU is not halted (continuing fix for Dungeon Explorer USA)"

r932 added WiiU Pro Controller support.

Another noob question here... To install the Wii version, do I just go to APPS, GENPLUSGX, and replace the BOOT.DOL? I'm not new to soft-modding, but I've never had to install a .dol file without installing a folder into the APPS folder and another onto the root of the SD card. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It's as you say - just replace the boot.dol. Rename the new file to boot.dol and overwrite the old one.

Wait, but the Retroarch one is a .DLL instead of a .Dol ...

Should I just rename DLL to DOL? Or I need to do something more?

I think you have just downloaded the Retroarch core. That goes in the folder related to retroarch that contains the cores. if you want the .dol for Wii you need this:
https://genplus-gx.googlecode.com/svn-history/r943/trunk/builds/genplus_wii.dol

By the way can someone please tell me are these as safe to use as the latest stable builds on the main download page?

Ohhh, okay, so the Libretro/Retroarch DLL is just for the PC version of Retroarch, not the Wii... My bad.

For a moment I thought they were used there too. Then for now it's just a replacement for Genplus GX. I'll take a look at it later!

I'm pretty interested in seeing if Dungeon Explorer works with music now (Before it was Fucked Up but with music, or working but no music, lol).

How does one use the new SVN builds? I downloaded the one marked genplus_wii.dol. I put it in my Genplus folder but it didn't boot. I renamed it to boot.dol but, again, it didn't boot. Just a black screen. :(
